01The list
EVIQ is IQ Labs site 21. It is a comparison tool for passenger battery-electric cars on sale in the UK right now. 189 variants are in the catalogue, covering all 161 passenger models on Auto Express’s 161 (28 August 2026) and every car on the official GOV.UK grant list (read 1 September 2026). 79 already carry manufacturer figures. The rest are named and blank.
02Two hosts, or it cannot win
A printed figure may come from one manufacturer page. That is enough to show it. It is not enough to crown a winner. Ahead is only used when two independent hosts — different hostnames, not two Tesla.com URLs — agree. Same-publisher pages count as one source.
Where Auto Express published a from-price or WLTP that matches the manufacturer number exactly, we attach Auto Express as the second host. We do not copy an Auto Express figure we have not already got from the maker, and we do not treat “including grant” as an RRP.
03Grants
Grant bands are overwritten from the official list, never from a hand-typed guess. The Renault 5 Evolution 40 kWh is Band 2 (£1,500), so it is £19,995 after the grant — not Band 1. The 52 kWh 5 is Band 1. Nissan Micra follows the same 40 / 52 split. Citroën ë-C5 Aircross Long Range and Kia EV2 Long Range are Band 1; the shorter-range sisters are Band 2. Which? is the second host on every grant claim.

Motorway range is WLTP combined × 0.70. It is an estimate for a British motorway, labelled as such — not a lab result and not a winter test.
05What we will not do
- Invent a default voltage, AC rate, driven axle, or parking-bay silhouette.
- Show a photograph whose credit does not name this brand and this model.
- Hide a missing battery behind a dash and still rank the car.
- Pretend Tesla cargo litres are VDA litres.
- Mix PHEVs, vans-as-vans, or quadricycles (Fiat Topolino, Citroën Ami) into the passenger BEV list.
- Give cars a score out of ten, or average Autocar fifths with Top Gear tenths.
Company-car tax uses the 2026-27 4% BIK rate. Electricity pence-per-mile, when shown, uses dated UK tariffs — not a live API.
